How to Select The Material of the RF PCB

RF is Radio Frequency, which refers to the radio frequency, high-frequency signal.

According to the requirements of the performance index of the circuit board, it can be ordinary FR4 epoxy glass fiber or Teflon and other special microwave substrates.

RF circuit board standard

1. In the PCB design of low-power RF, the standard FR4 material is mainly used (good insulation, uniform material, dielectric constant ε = 410%).

2. In the PCB of RF, the components should be arranged closely to ensure that the connection between the components is the shortest.

3. For the PCB board, RF part and the analog part of a mixed-signal should be away from the digital part (this distance is usually above 2cm, at least ensure 1cm), the grounding of the digital part should be separated from the RF part.

4. When choosing to work in a high-frequency environment, use watch-attached devices as much as possible.

This is because the surface mount element is generally small in size and the pin of the component is very short.
